Congratulations to Thomas Hays on receiving the Carson Scholar Award! Thomas is our first, of hopefully many, recipients of this achievement.
The Carson Scholar Fund awards college scholarships to students in grades 4-11 who "excel academically and are dedicated to serving their communities". Thomas has also received an engraved medal and a certificate as part of the program and will receive a $1000 scholarship to his college or university once he knows what school he will be attending.
The students compete to see if they are selected for one of around 500 national scholarships awarded each year.
