Overall it was great day for Robotics!
Advisor Mr. Draa and all of the Robotics kids did a terrific job putting everything together and the tournament ran very smooth. The RECF (the group that organizes ALL of the robot competitions pre-season to worlds) was there to evaluate us as a host site and we did AMAZINGLY well. Napoleon got numerous complements about our refs, our judges, and the overall flow of the tournament.
3 of the 4 teams in the final match were Napoleon Teams (40684B Los Cincos Furiosos-Ben Berry, Drew Norman, Lucas Rowley, Lukas Curylo, and Aubrey Weber, 40684C ¯\_(''/)_/¯ - Landon Gill, Luke Stimer, and Nolan Callahan, and 40684D The Triple Triangularity-Cameron Smith, Mason Keith, and Griffin Keith). Team 40684B won overall!
Because of their placement in the elimination tournament, all 3 of these teams have been invited to compete at the U.S. Open Robotics Tournament in Council Bluffs, IA in March. Additionally, 40684B won the tournament. They have won both of the tournaments we have played in this year and are currently undefeated with a record of 18-0-1. An unofficial website does power rankings of all VEX VRC teams and they are the number 1 team in Michigan and the number 45 team in the world.
Great Work Pirates!!!!
